INSTRUCTOR
Dr. Ferdinand Pitagan
Dr. Ferdinand Blancaflor Pitagan was a Monbukagusho (Japanese Government Scholarship) scholar from 2005 to 2010. He is a graduate (March 2010) of International Christian University, ICU, Tokyo, Japan with a degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Education.
He was a research fellow at Tokyo Gakugei University (2005-2006) and at Institute for Educational Research and Service (IERS), International Christian University, Tokyo, Japan (2010-2012); a special science teacher at Philippine Science High School (1997-2004); and a professional trainer for the Cisco Networking Academy; an educational technology consultant of UP Information Technology Training Center (UP-ITTC) and Philippine Science High School System; and the eLearning Team Leader of the Cloud Top Project of the Department of Education and Department of Science & Technology under the leadership of the Philippine Development (PhilDev) Foundation. He has done extensive research and written numerous articles about education, technology, and society. Furthermore, he has done various international research presentations; been the project leader of the Asian Graduate School Forum; and received several national and international awards.
At present, he is an assistant professor at the University of the Philippines - Diliman (UPD), College of Education, Educational Technology Department; and the current Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Coordinator of the College. (Iskwiki, 2013)

Reflection
Magaling magturo si Sir Pitagan. Masasabi ko ngang nasasagot niya ang mga tanong mo tungkol sa mga aralin. Magaling siyang magpalawig ng mga konsepto sa aralin. Binibigyan niya rin ng pagkakataon na sumagot ang mga estudyante sa kanyang tanong. Pagdating sa aming mga reporting, mabusisi ang kanyang pag-aanalisa sa aming mga ulat. Masasabing masakit at prangka ang mga komento niya ngunit ito nama'y para sa ikauunlad ng iyong pagtuturo. Mabait rin si Sir dahil may mga pagkakataon na binibigyan pa niya kami ng panahon para makagawa ng aming mga kailangang ipasa. Hindi mo rin masasabi na marami na siyang naabot sa buhay. Marami na siyang napuntahan at masasabing magaling na siya sa larangan ng edukasyon. Pero hindi mo mararamdaman sa kanya na mataas siya dahil mabait siya. Marunong siyang makisama sa mga estudyante. Masasabi kong isa siya sa mga hindi ko malilimutang propesor sa pamantasan.
